On Thursday, 6 November, we played on the new Steinway pianos. There were seven pianos in the room and most people played one of our pieces and then we played in sync with all the other pianos together. It was amazing!

The pianos were delivered to the theatre. It was a significant moment for the school – after months of fundraising the piano delivery became a reality.

The best moment for me was to be one of the very first ever people to play on a new Steinway piano here at Gordon’s. There was a joyful atmosphere when some of the older students played their astonishing pieces.

A highlight of the morning was to join together as one collective group and feel the joy of the music. It was a memorable experience which I will never forget. I feel really grateful that our school’s music department can keep on growing with these fantastic pianos.

Overall, the event brought the school community together in a brilliant celebration. Students left feeling inspired to carry on playing piano.
