Twenty minutes before the event, the Library was swarmed by Academic Scholars from Years 9 and 10. All were busy rushing, printing, cutting and organising their displays. The Academic Scholars Fair, held on Thursday, 21st June 2026, offered these students the opportunity to combine their favourite academic subjects and research them vigorously in the process.
Weeks of hard effort and meticulous research connected as the clock ticked down to 3:35 pm. Blue boards were covered in beautiful designs, whilst interactive displays, including a bird’s nest and tall cardboard buildings, lay on every visible table. Students waited patiently beside their work as parents flooded in. The evening had begun.

The first opening minutes allowed parents and viewers to wander the carefully-laid out halls, chat to Scholars and discover more about their chosen topics. There were lots of interesting topics to choose from, such the ethics of medicine, the history of crimes, the physics of music, and much more.
The room quickly filled with educated conversations, intrigued listeners and knowledgeable speakers, shortly before Ms Weeks officially opened the evening. Explaining the Scholars’ processes, ideas and progress over the weeks to the crowd, she then opened the floor for each section to give brief presentations on their work.
This was one of the most engaging parts of the evening by far. Solo pioneers and team-working groups offered their viewpoints and the most exciting research from their projects, revealing more depth into their favourite subjects. Psychology seemed to be a hit sector throughout the evening, with rowing, product design, sports, and even the stock market’s effect on the brain enthusiastically explored in depth.
Topics both original and revolutionary took centre stage throughout the evening, and it was certainly evident in all presenting their work. As the evening progressed (with teas, coffees and snacks offered), the mood solidified further into one of anticipation, happiness, and excitement at such knowledge coming together.

By the time 5 pm passed, parents, teachers, visitors and the Academic Scholars themselves were beaming with joy. One evening full of knowledge and academic wonder had just wrapped up, yet the preparation, hard work and skill placed into it would last a lifetime.
