On the weekend of 28th February – 1st March, Gordon’s School hosted the annual Model United Nations conference. This year, we hosted around 155 delegates from schools such as Reading Blue Coat, Blenheim, Beaconsfield, Prior’s Field, Ibstock, Marist and Hurst Point.
The weekend was opened with a speech from Dr Al Pinkerton, our MP for Surrey Heath, and debating began after lobbying on the first day.
I was one of the Presidents of the General Assembly, as well as the co-chair of the Special Committee, and my role involved organising the chairs (the students who run the debate), setting up the conference, and leading the flow of debate in the GA.
Our GMUN press team did a fantastic job producing a booklet covering the event. Click on the link below to browse.
