This weekend Gordon’s are hosting an U16 Netball invitational tournament – a chance to showcase all their skill and hard work after years of training. And to test it against other incredible teams such as St George’s Weybridge, Tormead, and Sir William Perkin’s School. These netball girls are soon to take their GCSEs, and potentially move on to other schools for the 6th Form, so this will be a true celebration of the last five years of dedication, unity and competition.
Last year, this team went to the National Cup where they reached The Final Four and have only advanced their skills since. As one of the most successful teams to attend this national competition, they paved the way for years of students to follow in their footsteps – they are the most successful team from Gordon’s in this age group ever, which bodes well for the upcoming invitational!
Regrettably, they lost in a ‘nail biting’ semi-final, but are constantly improving. We hope that many of you can come out to support the team and cheer them along.
